Where Posh Paws is the better call
- You would rather the groom stayed outside. Our van carries its own water, power and table, so nothing is set up in your kitchen or bathroom and nothing needs drying off afterwards except the dog. Paws R Us works inside the home with the towels you provide, which suits some households; if yours is not one of them, the full groom happens entirely in the driveway.
- You want one package with the haircut in it. Their menu runs from a bath and brush to a bath and haircut, with standalone services alongside. Ours is one Full-Service Groom: bath, brush-out, haircut, nails, ears, sanitary trim, paw pads and teeth cleaning, with nothing listed as an add-on.
- You want the same space every time. For an anxious dog, the van is the same quiet room at every appointment, whichever driveway it is parked in. That consistency is a large part of why we groom one dog at a time; the reasons are on the blog.
- You are in Lakeway. Lakeway is one of our five cities and it is not on the Paws R Us list. Cedar Park, Leander, Liberty Hill and Lago Vista are on both.
- You want the appointment to take the time it takes. A full groom in our van typically runs 2 to 3 hours, because there is no next dog waiting. We ask for 24 hours' notice if plans change.

Is Paws R Us a mobile grooming van?
Their FAQ says the grooming is performed inside your home rather than in a grooming van. They bring their tools and work in a room with water or an outlet.
Does Posh Paws need anything from my house?
No. The van is fully self-contained, with its own water, power and equipment. It parks in your driveway and your dog is groomed start to finish inside it.
Do I have to be home for a Posh Paws appointment?
No. We offer a latchkey service: every team member is background-checked and we can collect your dog with a key under the mat or through the garage. You do need to stay reachable while we groom.
